Morning all
Halight - hope you get a date for your op soon
Uolypool - glad it went well at the uni
Thanks for all the thoughtful comments :A. I slept better last night, only woke once for half hour. Feeling a bit brighter today.
No plans for the day, which I need to change as I want to keep busy. I've got a few calls and bit of paperwork to sort first off. I don't really want to go shopping again so that leaves visiting family, a day trip or cinema. I'm not really in the mood for family, the weather looks a bit pants and I can't think where to go for a day trip! So I think I'll go to the cinema. Not seen Bond yet, and I have a voucher for free ticket so I'll only need to spend on snacks. Think I'll go for a walk/jog too.
OS wise - paperwork to sort, laundry to finish drying, HM freezer meals for lunch/tea.
Have a good day all

Morning All
Really foggy here this morning and DH has just got in from his shift and has said that people are not taking account of the road conditions and are driving like numpties, no lights, too close, too fast etc  What is it that they say? " It's not the car that kills you, it is the nut behind the wheel"
halight (((Hugs))) I hope all goes well with the scan x
Most of us who have any dealings with the NHS know how slow they can be, I have been waiting 7 years for knee replacements and they still say that I am too young and now say I have put on too much weight which has been caused by not being able to walk about or exercise Catch 22
We have a funeral to go to today and so I had better my bum in gear and get in the shower before DH. (He has to help me anyway so he will jump in after me)
(((Hugs))) to the poorlies and fed ups
I will catch up later

Good morning everyone
Very foggy here today and gosh there are some eejits on the motorway, I did not enjoy that drive one little bit.
I had to give in and use the tumble drier last night, it was raining by the time I got home and I really needed some clothes for work so I gave them 30 minutes then finished them off on the radiator. I look a tad crumpled today :rotfl:
Have forgotten to get anything out of the freezer for dinner so I think it will be lentil or minestrone soup, am sure they are some carrots left and there is black forest ham in the fridge so I know can make something out of that lot.
Still umming and aahing over cowls and available wool but did manage to find quite a few free online patterns last night. Am thinking mohair in a lacey pattern will be lovely for GDD.
Oh well, break over and back to work so will leave with well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. OMG should probably be thrown out of the OS club. Have just sorted out my kitchen cupboards. Found stuff out of date from 2010:eek::o
Have had to chuck loads of things which is awful but so out of date I can't use them. I promise to be better.
On the positive site have wrote a list for each cupboard so I know exactly what I've got and hopefully wont duplicate anything. Let's just say I won't be running out of ginger for at least 5 yrs!
So mt cupboards are a cleaned and freshly lined. Think I deserve some breakfast now.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

:rotfl: I did a sort out last month and found my flour was OOD in 2010, and still used it in a cake(I did check for weevils and smelt it etc). I didn't die so assume it was ok! Thing is I've moved house twice since 2010 so you'd think I would have chucked it then rather than move.
I tend to not worry about the dates on stuff. If it smells and looks okay then I'll use it.

Hi all
Cold, foggy and generally yuk in Concrete Cow Country today; but I have no dog-walking to do til tomorrow, so don't need to go out in it.;)
Tru I'm so pleased that Timmy is warbling again – I feel like I want to come and give the little chap a cuddle.:o
Nmlc good luck with the meal for 25:eek: – you're a braver lady than I! The thought of cooking for anyone other than Mr LW is enough to turn me into a gibbering wreck.:o
Elaine best of luck with the presentation; that's something else I couldn't do. Someone would only have to look as though they were going to point a camera at me and I'd run for the hills!:eek::eek:
Halight oh my, that op sounds scary; but I guess if it's a necessary thing, you don't have a choice. Here's hoping it happens sooner rather than later for you.:o Glad the twins are doing well with school; you must be so proud of them!:o
Butterfly Brain – tell me about it with the NHS! I get the feeling they'll do all in their power to not spend money:mad: – when I was first diagnosed, I was told I'd be checked every 6 months, for good. Now they've signed me off back to my GP. I've got to the point where I'm just too tired to care, tbh. Anyways, I digress – hope the funeral goes as well as possible (never the best of occasions, but you get my drift).:o
I want today out of the way now, as Miss Jessica Dog will be here tomorrow; she's stayed with us before, she's a h-u-g-e black Labrador, and an absolute sweetie.:D The last time she stayed was when Mr LW had a really nasty gastric infection; I think it was only Jessie that kept me grounded, and helped me cope with the situation.:o
Which reminds me - Tappers that painting of the Spaniel is awesome! I wish I had just a fraction of your talent!:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

How old is she? Personally I can't stand anything like mohair or angora near my mouth because I eat the fluff0 -
She is 9 and she loves fluffy, furry, girly stuff. She will probably lick it, she is always in trouble for sucking the cuff of her school cardigan :rotfl:
I know what you mean about things like that near your mouth, someone bought me a beautiful Phase 8 scarf in that "eyelash" type wool and it drives me mad.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hello everybody - yes, like a bad penny I'm back.
I've been really busy just recently as I got involved in trying to save a lovely Victorian building and as secretary was rushed off my feet. However after getting fed up of sitting through meetings where people just want to bang a table and say how evil the person who owns the building is and yet not doing anything (whilst I'm typing 8 pages + of Minutes every Friday and running around like a maniac) I've jumped ship so now have time to spend on ME! Lordy.....
Struggling a bit as well as I've been doing the above when I should have been working so I've seen my wages plummet so that was another factor in leaving.
Also had a rough time with the old IVF as our new doctor has found yet something else that the locals missed so I had to have an op in summer - lovely. Plus one lot of docs took me off some meds and as a result my levels shot up so now I'm back on them AND trialling some meds that my new GP wanted to start me on but we've had to lobby the local NHS consultant hard for as the decision has to come from them. My IVF people are NOT impressed ....... and they're not the only ones :rotfl:
However an upside of the new meds (apart from the insominia) is I have LOADS of energy and have been cleaning windows today. However I cannot get them "sheen" free. I've tried all my cloths - even microfibres and the odd window comes up fine but the others just look "greasy". I've beginning to think it might be the Asda window cleaner I'm using up. I've run out of vinegar after using it to disinfect the sink the other day so will have to wait until we do the shopping for supplies...
Apart from that not much else to report..... I will try harder to post every day instead of just reading it and then sloping off.....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
