Not as such but some places will offer you one but not totally free. Not sure what they offer now, but a couple of times we've been offered one on loan for a £50 returnable deposit.

You wouldn't be entitled to a loan phone but the repair should be done within a reasonable time.

Carphone Warehouse will always offer a loan phone if they have one. It's normally a basic model but will keep you in touch.
    Can I help?
  • i had this problem, i had a phone from argos, i took it back as the predictive text would NOT switch on after just 8wks, it was sent away and i had no replacment, 4 wks after i got it back it wouldnt work again so in it went and was sent away AGAIN, took 22 days, then 2 wks after i got it back it did the same So i took it back and said i wanted refund. Which they did after alot of umming and ahhing. Any how, about 3 wks later i brought ANOTHER sony ericsson that was on special offer, with two wks the same thing happened!but i couldnt find the reciept for phone, only insurance , when i took it in and said i needed my phone and this was getting silly i was offered an upgrade but i needed to take back the box, but somebody also realised my insurance was in the wrong leaflet so swapped leaflets WITHOUT TAKING MY RECIePT OUT. Being precupied with two toddlers i didnt realise till i got home and i called them straight away to be told it was my own fault and there was nothing they could do. I have since hunted hi and low and finally found the reciept for the phone which still has the problem and need to take it back, my fear is i need a phone, and that was the reason i brought a new one as my old kept dying. I drive long distance some weekends have two toddlers and am 26wks pregnant , i really dont think i should be without a phone for what could be 4 wks!
