I sense sarcasm
OP, if they dont comply with your request, put it in writing to them. If they dont comply with your written request, report them to the ICO.
That is under the assumption they're operating in the UK under UK law of course. Going by the website I found, they are.
You'll find a landline number and postal address for their registered offices here: http://www.kantarmediauk.com/privacy-policy.aspxYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
they do not delete the number they keep it safe for next time they want to talk to you about PPI and probably sell them on to make some money,
really got not no idea if they do or do notthere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0 -
No, which is the source of much hilarity with me, especially since if I've asked once it basically gives me free reign to open mouth & let rip the next time they phone!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I don't think they will.
They will almost certainly mark your record as do not contact. They will keep your record on file in case they buy in lists of people (cold data) which they can check against their database. This way they will know not to contact you again.0 -
If you ask them to remove your details they are obliged to do it. It may depend on the person that you spoke to whether they have done it or not - if it' a big palaver they may not bother and just hope that someone else will deal with it.
If you have been lucky enough to speak to someone who will action the procedure to remove your details then it might still take a few weeks for this to take effect as your details may be on several databases that they are calling.
Persevere, put it in writing and report them if necessary.0 -
Legitimate companys will but most of the nuisance ones will say they will and move right on to the next call.
We recently were given a new number and we get nothing but calls asking for somone who is presumably the phone numbers previous owner to offer ppi claims and cavity insulation, that and robots calling up to tell him hes won a holiday the lucky chap. I wonder if this is why he decided to change his number :cool:0 -
Nobody deletes anything. They'll stop calling you but once they've got your details they will never let them go!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

If you have spare minutes on a contract then call tell them you will call them back 10 times for every time they call you. I had the same operator answer 4-5 of my calls and when they realised I was serious they really stopped calling me.The man without a signature.0
