I applied for a capital one card have I been accepted????

It said after I had applied



Thank you Sarah we have approved the first stage of your application for a card.


We will be sending you two copies of your credit card agreement in the post in the next 7-10 working days all you need to do is,

Complete and sign one copie then return it in the pre-paid envelope.

Keep the other copie for your records.

After we've recieved a signed copy of your agreement
We will send you your welcome pack, this will include your card and notification if your credit limit

Your PIN number will be sent to you separately.

    Yes. You've been accepted subject to you returning the signed agreement.

  • Your application has been accepted. They just want you to read their user agreement manually and sign on them manually too. That is why they will be sending you the agreement first and then the card. Do not ignore the agreement. Read it carefully before signing.

  • I have never heard of a lender sending it's rejected applicants a card and pin number on receipt of the signed credit agreement... this would be very strange

    You heard of barclaycard and RBS before as these are prime examples.

    Bugsy is right Barclaycard and RBS do send forms to people that they then reject, but Capital One don't, so yes you've been accepted.
  • You've definitely been accepted and once they have the paperwork back they'll confirm your credit limit.

    I'd say that's pretty sound advice given myself! And a good reason given as to why they are sending forms. Should give some reassurance to the OP.
