quick query

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to reclaim just over £4,000 from HSBC. However, since I wrote my first request letter, I've been charged about another £300 for unauthorised overdraft (wouldn't have been overdrawn if they'd paid when I asked!!!). My question is, should I add these recent charges onto my claim with the court, or as the figures would vary from my original letters, leave them off??

Thanks

You can add recent charges (and any you have in writing as pending, like on your monthly statement) right up to the date of filing claim in court. It is also worth recalculating the interest on each charge to the day of court claim. Good luck :)

    Thanks for that,

I think I May have reached the £5,000 ceiling for small claims if I do that, so I'll leave it at the £5,000.xx
