My Desktop PC(Win 7) has just been returned from repair at the manufacurer.

Now any jpeg sent with any email to my BT Internet email address, will not open. It displays a thumbnail at foot of message, but they won't open or download.

The jpegs open on my Ipad using the same BT email address.

Yet if I forward the email to someone else the jpeg opens. I can also forward it to my hotmail address on this desktop, and the jpegs open.

jpegs on the hard drive open ok.

So it appears that the problem is specific to the BTyahoo email on this computer. Yet I can see no way of altering settings

Before I spend a couple of hours on the phone to BT, in a far away land, has anyone any ideas please?

Edit. Jpegs on my hard drive cannot be attached to my bt email message

Assuming you are using Internet Explorer:

Open Internet Explorer > Click on Tools > Click Internet Options > Click on Advanced Tab > Click on Reset > (if applicable, click Delete Personal Settings) > Click on Reset again > Restart Internet Explorer.

Save them to the desktop and open them from there as a temporary measure.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Contacted BT.

They appeared to be aware of the problem which was on the main BT server. A full reset and problem fixed.
