Hi,

Currently with BT on a business line in our premises.... BT charge a whopping £42.00 per quater just for line rental!!!

What is the cheapest way of having a business phone line?

Line not used much for outgoing calls... but is used for incoming

I think Virgin / Telewest will do you a basic line for £13 per month. OK not a huge saving but every little helps ...

Since the OP has said that the line isn't used much outgoing calls, maybe you could clarify what the main reasons for not moving from BT are?

I'm aware that lots of cheap calls 'offers' only work if you have a BT line, and also that cheap BB usually needs a BT line, but as I'm about to ditch our BT line which is only used for Broadband in favour of a Virgin solution which is cheaper and allegedly better, I'd be glad to know if I'm about to make a big mistake ...

Note that I've never had problems getting my free entry into Yellow Pages etc with a Telewest line, although it was a BT line once ... Also cold callers don't seem to have any trouble getting hold of the number!
