Got a ticket this morning which states: Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours.
In fact I was parked on the pavement facing the sign but not behind it, so I believe that I was on the side of the restriction before it came into force.
As I was on the pavement, I thought (probably wrongly) that CEOs could not issue a ticket, it had to be a police officer.
The ticket was issued in Copeland Borough Council, but the ticket states that fine can only be paid in and to Allerdale Borough Council!
I have pictures of where my car was parked if that would help.
What do people think?

No idea.
But good luck with dealing with Allerdale , never come across a more clueless bunch of incompetents in all my life ...0 -
A picture paints a thousand words.
1. No, the pavement/policeman thing is cobblers
2. Any traffic restriction extends from the centre of the hghway to the boundary of the building at each side. So if there's a double yellow line outside a row of shops for example, the restriction is from the highway to the front window of the shop, not just the road.
Not sure if this relates to your scenario, a pic would help.Je Suis Cecil.0
