I managed to get from Aldi the 19ins Tevion lcd with freeview and dvd builtin for my bedroom and I am very please with it.
I just can not get itv and channel 4 on freeview but I can on analogue . I have moved the aerial about but this makes no difference also I have an lcd with freeview in the lounge that is working with no problems off the same aerial. When setting the digital it says that it is recieving from crystal palace not sure if this makes a difference and I did buy a aerial amplifier which did nothing to help so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions please

If it connected to the same aerial as the other tv then it should recieve the chanels. ITV use different transponders than bbc so it may be the tv needs to scan again to find it.Nudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0

how is the aerial split between to TV's the split should occur at the amp

The low-noise amplifier/booster must always be near the input end of the cable. If you put it at the output end, you are simply boosting the signal and the noise it has picked up, so you are hardly any better off!
The purpose of an amplifier is to compensate for signal loss in the cable before it happens!
NEVER plug a booster in the downstairs feed from the aerial. The only time a "set-back amplifier" or booster should be used downstairs is when it's amplifying the signal to send it somewhere else via a LONG cable (bedroom, kitchen, conservatory).Ex forum ambassador

ITV and channel 4 use different transponders here but they are in a slightly different location by a few degrees. I can either get ITV perfectly or the other channels perfectly so the trick is to point the ariel somewhere between the two to get a sort of compromise best picture on all channels.0 -
Bought the same TV on 1st April 07, exactly the same fault started on ours around the 20th May. All other TVs in our house work perfectly on both freeview and terrestrial using the same arial socket. ( So not a fault with our reception ).
Re-tuning initial installation, manual installation, all no use!!!!
Contacted Tevion Technical Department, answered loads of questions and replacement en route. Fab customer service.0 -
and of course, Aldi are excellent at refunds with a receipt, but don't wait too long. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
