The agent that you spoke to should have summarised the call details on their customer management system. You can do a Subject Access Request for the notes on your account (more detail here: http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public/personal_information.aspx)
In my experience, virgin rarely do this. I've called them up a few times and - rather than explaining a problem again - have asked if they can read the notes from my previous calls......about 80% of the time the response is the person hasnt put notes on.
Might just be my bad luck (I had countless problems with them but know that plenty of people have been with them years without even 1 problem), but I imagine either the agent didnt put notes on or they've not put anything with regards to moving house free etc....otherwise they wouldnt have needed to find the call. But I guess you never know unless you ask (might be worth OP asking over the phone first to see if the notes are there before sending a subject access request - especially since the company can charge for it).You keep using that word.
