Hoiw long does it take to switch suppliers?

It typically takes 4-6 weeks - maybe a little longer if an IGT is involvedMoving from scot power to ebico. Ebico have given me an estimate of 6-8 weeks!
That means 6-8 weeks put on scot powers std rate.
Is this typical timeframe for a switch?
Why is it so long for what amounts to a billing change?
You could always check with SP if they have a better rate than their standard tariff that has no early exit fees in the meantime

It's a lot more involved than just a billing change. No free lunch, and no free laptop
