BA are starting a new route to Seoul and are offering great prices for all classes. There is not much time left to book and dates are limited, but Heathrow to Seoul return in Club World and a bag load of Avios to boot for less than £777.00 is a great deal.

I am going from Newcastle via Heathrow next month on a Flyertalk beano - which is obviously a little more, but a great deal nonetheless.

Oh..and you don't have to translate a web page and travel halfway around Europe to get the offer either!

I will be travelling 'alone' but will be meeting up with numerous fellow 'Flyertalkers' who are taking up the offer- two of which have kindly guested me into the F lounge at T5 on my outbound and transfer on return.

Seoul is a city on my 'to do' list and when this offer came along for a Club World ticket from NCL to Seoul for just over £900 - it was too good to miss.

My hotel will cost me nothing either as I will be using my Accor vouchers to 'pay' for my stay.

So - in answer to your reply, I don't need a 'grand and a half' but £921.00 to be precise.

Using that stupid argument, many could ask why would anyone wish to go to Benidorm in the summer:eek: - or anytime for that matter.

Have you been to Seoul? - if so, hopefully you can offer me some tips and advice - I haven't, so your comments would be appreciated. We are meeting up with people who have lived there so perhaps forget the request for advice.

As I keep mentioning to people on here who suggest to others that a given destination is 'rubbish' - just remember it is each to their own. I have no desire to visit Benidorm for example, but appreciate that millions love the place and good for them.

If you are a bucket and spade traveller who is happy to lie on a beach or in some secluded resort - then fine - that's your choice.

I also like to relax and soak up the sun - I will be doing that in December and January in Thailand/Vietnam with Mrs DD. But I also like to see city life and what they have to offer - irrespective of what the season is.

This trip has turned into a party which I will certainly enjoy - you must try it sometime and I am also getting the opportunity to see somewhere I have always wanted to visit and meet new people who in the past have only been words on a forum. Is that bad?

I might not like the place - or from the way the 'do' is developing, I might not even remember the trip - but what the heck - I am going to enjoy the experience!

Isn't that what travel is all about?

Unfortunately Seoul is not on my bucket list but I do appreciate the thread informing us of the deal.

Now can you find me a similar deal, business class to Cape Town or Joburg for £700 ? I'll travel anytime !

    Thank you loobs.

I fully appreciate that Seoul is not everyones first choice of destintion (particularly in winter) and to be honest, I fully expected to include the city in a'multi centre' trip in the future, however, when this offer came up, I had a few free days and hotel vouchers to burn so I went for it.

Some people have taken up this offer to travel to other destinations in Asia from Seoul and have still saved a packet - that is why I posted on here.

I hope you get a deal on S.Africa - I supect it will be little warmer than Seoul right now! :)
  • Would love to visit Seoul, but just don't have the pesos to fund such a trip right now. Thanks for the heads-up though!

I saw that thread on Flyer Talk.

I would like to visit Seoul one day! (got me interested because of the song "Gangnam Style")

Better start saving those Avios points!
