Credit card default HELP !

Right ok il try my best to make this as easy as possible :)

I have a credit card default on my file which has nothing to do with my and I wanted some advice in getting it removed.Now the boring part! My mother went through a difficult time back in 2007 as lost here house at the time I was only 16 my mother applied for a card in my name how it was accepted I don't know ! Anyway no payments where ever made and ended up defaulting.my mother unfortunately past away back in January after a long battle which cancer.

So this is where I'm at a default which is not mine and I have no idea who to talk to about it but hope you guys can help.

    You should have contacted the police to report fraud, you should have also made the card company aware of this; however with it being your late mother, I can see why you would have been hesitant to do this.

    You can try and speak with the card company and the CRA however, I can't say 100% that they would write the debt off. That being said, how you passed the credit check is beyond me.

    Do you not have to be 18+ to enter into a credit contract? If so, is there any possibility that this contract can be deemed void? That said, in this case you can face fraud charges, although they will have to prove that it was you, not your mother, who committed the fraud.
