Cash I do balance transfer to a Cashback card & get cashback?

I have a debt of £2.5K on one card which is coming to the end of a 0% interest period.

I have the money in the bank ready to pay it off but an looking for the best way to do this, where I could benefit from a cashback offer.

If I take out a new cashback card, one which is offering a good cashback rate in the first 3 months, can I use this to pay off the £2.5K off the old card, get my cashback on the transaction, and then pay off the new card from my bank account?

Is this possible?
