help! need cheap ideas for dad's 60th birthday trip

hi, my family are planning to try and send my mum and dad for a surprise cheap city break away for his 60th birthday. we have a budget of max £350 - i know this isn't much but i have seen posts were people have managed to get away for next to nothing. they would be flying from glasgow/ prestwick/ edinburgh.

any destination for any length of time
need a cheap decent hotel as well
they would be totally flexible about when they can go

we saw that ryan air have 1p deals in may - would this be best or can anyone better this.

any help / ideas/ links/ greatly appreciated:D
