Cooker hood with external motor

Hi everyone
We are about to do up our kitchen and need a cooker hood and I was hoping you lovely people could point me in the direction of a good model/brand. We would like a hood that is flush with the ceiling (it is over an island and in front of a window) and it preferably has an external motor. We need quite a high extraction rate (big room) so on excess of 950m3/h.
The only ones I've found so far are by Caple (are they any good?) and AirUno. All the others seem to have built in motors - this isn't a bad thing, would just prefer the higher extraction and lower noise that comes with an external motor
All help gratefully received!

Hi Mazzawa
If you are having a new kitchen then really your kitchen designer should be able to give you the best advice on a suitable ceiling extractor for your situation. However, we use this Westin one mainly as it has an excellent specification and is also designed to fit into plasterboard across joists if necessary.

Thanks CK. I got a quote for Westin but it is out of our price range (came back at over £2k!!!) although it was for a different model than the one you linked to.
Any more suggestions?0 -
Try this one - http://www.westin.co.uk/products/ceiling-built-in/CBU190x44.html?startVal=3
Its not as versatile as the previous one but may work for you. Also a very good product. You wont go wrong with Westin. Their hoods are designed for the UK market. Everything else is a European market product and not quite suitable for UK properties. We’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks! Can you give me an indication of price if you know? We are fitting it into a new false ceiling so no worries about joists etc.
Another question: if we need say 1000m3/h, should we be looking at a motor more powerful than this. For example, one of the Caple motors can do up to 1500 but is this overkill?0
