Norton

I update Norton when i turn on my laptop yet when i click on my account open office opens up and a load of gibberish writing appears,not good but why?

    Now i just clicked on hp shop for products on my desktop and that opened open office,whats happening.

    It's only a guess. It kind of sounds like Open Office has been set as the default application to open a lot of file types. What operating system are you using currently?

    Win 7 home premium.Open Office is set as default but it has never opened these programmes before

    I just tried to update Norton to 2013 which is available and when i downloaded and clicked to run it opened open office again so i cannot complete it,any help please.
