parking charges at asda lincoln

hi.
yesterday 13 11 2012 i parked is disabled bay. unfortunately i got a 70-00 charge, as i noticed my mothers blue badge had expired at the end of october, i was unaware of this obviously and my mother at 84 and heart and cancer patient was not up to speed with this. i appreciate this was the fault, but it does seem very severe for a minor oversight. in the envelope the notice is just like some amatuer till reciept. again this is from the notorious t and c parking and the guy was no where to be found. any help and advice appreciated.

Ignore it - The Blue Badge does not apply on private property. Check your handbook/Issuer website, its made quite clear.

And unless you want to test the POPLA appeals procedure, it is easiest to ignore T&C as well. The recent law change does not affect the wholly non-legal nature of their tickets. :)

The blue badge scheme does not apply to private land. You haven't broken any laws, and you don't owe them a penny. Just ignore!

    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

    OP,
did you notice if there was a time restriction (eg, 2 hours) on this car park?

This store is on my list to visit, with any luck i might get a ticket for a double 'infringement'.

With any time restriction they also might be breaching equality laws which say you have to grant extra times for disabled people to do their shopping.
