Hi Everyone,
I got given a 'pot of dreams' when I left my old job last July. Its basically a beautifully painted £2 coin pot. It is sealed, but promises that when full to the brim it will total £1000! Hard to believe -but I have been collecting every £2 coin I can... and so has my husband and mum. It is not even a quarter full, but I shall keep going and this challenge will support me;)
My dream is to travel down the Nile for my 40th which is Jan 2014. So I had better get a wiggle on!

off to a happy start found a £2 coin and various bit of change in my jeans as putting in wash, so £2 for this challenge and the rest for the SPC challenge, plus the added bonus of not jamming up the filter on my washing machine yet again!
(its nearly impossible to get an allan key out of my filter i have discovered!!)
Then sent boys down shop for something and they came back with another £2, probably wont get another one for days now!
Happy hunting everyoneDebt: £0/approx £3000(probably a lot more just working out! _pale_

Hi! Can I join please? I picked up a ceramic sealed money pot at B&Ms for £2.99 yesterday (actually in a fit off optimism I picked up two so I would have one to replace the first once it's full) and I have already put my first six £2 coins in it. :-)
I collected £2s in a sealed tin for part of last year but only lasted 3 months before I had to raid it during a very bad month. Rising prices on necessities + fixed outgoings + not rising income = gah! The £100 I found in the pot saved me from bouncing DDs and credit card usage for a couple of months while I worked out how to work around the hole. This year that shouldn't happen as November was the last payment on my TV and Christmas Eve the last payment on the £15k loan so I have £175 month extra flying around. While a chunk of that will go towards clearing the credit cards I intend to make sure I keep enough free that I don't have to use the cards to make ends meet (which is self defeating).
I'm hoping I can father £2 coins at about the same rate as last year like I said £100 in 3 months) and possibly fill the pot. Once the pot if full I intend to gather the money and throw it at the credit cards, if anything is still outstanding on them, or shove it in a limited access savings account or similar if I'm debt free by then.
I shall stop babbling now. :-)

You will achieve this!!:D
Once you start collecting it's so addictive. You will find yourself asking friends and family if they have any to swap with you;)
Good luck.0 -
