Thanks Beate
I have another going thro' with Lloyds, filed exactly on the same date at each stage.
Heard nothing at this stage!!
Is this good news do you think.0 -
I too have had a defence filed by my builiding society but have been transferred to Scunthorpe DISTRICT Court - 150 miles away.
1) Where do I send any reply to the defence or to the court?
2) I am happy to attend the court - I am closr than the Building Society are - but is a district court likely to pull acurve ball and do a Hull?0 -
Hi, Barclays have disputed my claim and are putting up a defence. My claim is now being transferred to a nearby court, and I'm starting to worry that I may lose and end up severely out of pocket.
Is this common with Barclays?
Thanks,
Lynn0 -
Hi Lynn
I started against Woolwich back in Jan/Feb and am now up against Barclays as they bought up Woolwich.
I got my court date thru for mid Sept . I'm now trying to reach a sensible agreement with Barclays, not because I'm scared of going to court against them, but because it would save me the hastle of preparing a court bundle, time off work, etc.
If, however, nothing can be agreed then "see you in court".
Don't worry too much. Follow the advice in these threads and you'll be fine.
Good Luck

I am suing Barclays Bank, and they have issued a defence. I now received a letter from the court saying :
Without hearing, it is ordered that the filing of an allocation questionnaire be dispenced with in this case unless the District Judge at the court of transfer orders otherwise
This is Northampton County Court, and has been transfered to Ilford Court. What should I do now?
Thanks a lot :money:0 -

A lot of courts aren't using the Allocation Questionnaire any more, as they now know what these cases usually involve, how long the hearings usually take and that the bank’s solicitors usually don't turn up.

Hi,
I am currently taking LloydsTSB to court via MCOL, and have recieved Notice of transfer to my local court. Also the letter states that 'the filling of an allocation questionnaire be dipensed with in this case unless the district judge at the court of transfer orders otherwise'
1. What does this mean?
2. What do I do next?
3. Do I have to fill out a N1 form?
Also Lloyds have clawed back my O/d limit and the collections dept are asking payment in full and are adding interest on every day.
Thanks

As it says really, you have to wait for your local court to contact you, they may or may not ask you to fill in the Allocations Questionnaire (my court send me one).

HI guys
After taking court action the bank has posted their defence but the northampton County Court Judge has ruled that the filing of an allocation questionnaire be dipsensed with as it is transfered to my local court!
what do I do? has anyone encountered anything similar0 -
As the above posts, most people are getting this now as they are dispensing with the AQ to save some time, you'll next hear from your local court.0
