Painting a metal board with blackboard paint

I actually have no idea if this is smooth or textured until I see it in person, but ignoring that issue, if I paint http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10159443/ with blackboard paint, it'll still work as a magnetic board, right?

I know this is a stupid question but knowing me I'd buy all the stuff, paint it, and then find out the blackboard paint cancels out the magnetism

Can't see why it wouldn't work, a little bit of paint isn't going to stop magnets from sticking.
They work on your fridge and that's painted.

As long as you don't use Zimmerit anti-magnetic paint.

I've covered 2 of those with blackboard foil (like sticky back plastic) for my little girl, who loves them!!

The foil was about £4 delivered from amazon and has easily done them both with no mess.

The metallic board is smooth.
