Should I sell my zune and get an Archos AV700?

Hi,

I have noticed this deal on the Archos AV700 and was wondering if it would be better than my Microsoft Zune mp3 player.

I like the fact that I can use the dock and hook it up to my tv and use the remote to play the tunes....

Is it a bargain at £183 delivered?


Any thoughts welcome :money:

I had an AV700 when thry first come out from QVC, it went back under the 30 Day policy as IMHO the screen resolution was very poor and for my use it was just too big.

Now I don't know if the TV one is any better, but don't forget analogue is going soon and I don't think it supports digital. Plus on all the ones I've tried Portable TV you nearly always need a decent external aerial as the internal one is pants.

I since got an AV500 and have recently upgraded again to the 160GB 504 both of which are excellent, screen is so much sharper. In fact the 504 uses the same screen as the Sony PSP.

Is the archos 604 the better deal- £184 at amazon here?

Personally I would say so, assuming that a 30GB Hard Drive is enough for your needs and you are not that bothered about the TV side.

Depends upon what you want it for really. I use mine for MP3 & Watching Films myself on Business Trips abroad sat on the plane. Even used it for the kids with the pair of them watching stuff on the plane on the way to Cyprus.
