Convoluted? You should try getting to grips with the bits I haven't gone in to here. Imagine the Brittas Empire without the good intentions. Conversations regarding developments are regularly interrupted by the sound of jaws thudding to the floor. This really is a case where you couldn't make it up, real life is indeed stranger than fiction.

Believe me, I would love to be able to tell you chapter and verse, your eyes would be out on sticks, once it's all done and dusted we'll be dining out on these stories for years LOL

Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

OP I think you are blowing this out of all proportion. This is a schoolgirl who has a part time job. My daughters had jobs at this age in a variety of places, none of them managed to get sacked for anything, but they all knew that jobs taken during their school careers weren't serious. If the company has made a mistake then so be it, but to be writing to the head of the company is very ott.

To be honest I think there was less fuss about the sack of Rome!

@daska if it's that bad surely she's better off out of there..?

and now she's no longer working there it's their problem what happens within the organisation, isn't it, not hers?

You seem to be 'taking ownership' (to coin a corporate phrase) of the things that are happening within this charity, things which are outside of your control.

Yes, I think we are dealing with a bit of a drama queen here.

    Actually, it's society's problem because...

That hadn't been written when I voted for yours!

But that puts you back in contention for top spot!

No, really truly I'm not, and believe me I've had enough go on in my life that I am not easily gobsmacked, I grew up in a cult for starters. But what this person has done gets more unbelievable every time we hear something new. We just had a call to say that a second ex-member of staff is also heading down the legal route on a separate complaint of discrimination. And yes, we have considered that she's best off out of there

My initial question was answered less than a page in, tbh most of the rest of it is just me correcting assumptions and inaccuracies or adding an update up for anyone who's interested. Please don't feel you have to read or respond :D Or believe for that matter, it is only a forum, this could all be the product of a mental illness after all... But it is quite amusing to read everyone here disbelieving it because it's outwith their personal experience.

I don't really do 'imagination' or grey areas though and I couldn't have made this up if I'd tried.

Using the demographic figures for our county it's about 10,500 who have benefitted financially.

    That's not work related though.

    Go on then, next one.

10,500 fall within the group of concern or 10,500 who have actually benefitted?

These thousands that have benefitted have done so solely because of part-time 17 year old or because of her work along with that of others involved?
