    No advice I'm afraid, but I agree, I have always had Hotpoint goods in the past but will boycot them in future. Our washer is terrible and our fridge was repaired very soon after we bought it and it's still rubbish but we had such an obnoxious man to come and fix it I'm haven't got them back.

    Our dishwasher is Bosch and that's been very good.

    We have a Liebherr one. Was told it was better than Bosch and one level down from a Miele. We're really pleased with it and touch wood had no problems at all. We were told when buying Bosch to make sure it is German made, not sure if that still stands though.

    I've got a Bosch fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with all of them. They are all A rated for energy use and are very quiet when they are on. So far they have been totally reliable. In short, i would recommend them.

    Swings and roundabouts!

    My last dishwasher was a Bosch it went wrong several times. I now have a Hotpoint and has been incredibly reliable! My last washing machine was a Hotpoint it went wrong a lot. Now I have a Bosch and it's brilliant. I truly believe you're either lucky or your not. I would, however recommend Samsung for refridgeration!

    I have fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine all from bosch and i am very happy with them. They are bit expensive than normal ones but they are very reliable. If you can spend a bit more or compromise on color (as i did, i wanted silver one but was more expensive), then i would recommend bosch.

    We have a samsung fridge freezer and it is excellent, we have had it 5 years now. have a bosch dishwasher very good. i tend to aviod indesit/hotpoint etc. lots of problems with their washers
