Is your tree up?

Took the dogs out in the dark - 4.45 lol - and saw 4 Chritsmas trees already in windows.

  • Our main one is not up yet - that will go up on 1 December. However, we bought 2 small trees from Tesco over the weekend, which my DS has already put up in his room. No decorations on them yet as I need to dig them out of the shed, so he'll have to wait until 1 December to decorate them ;0)

I did pass a house, however, on the way home tonight after work that already had a set of net lights up.

Not yet because we always get a real one and if it was up now it would be a stick by christmas. Tempted to start decorating the house though but tidying up first, might start this weekend.
  • Ooh exciting. Mine won't be up till at least December 1st, but I can't wait to see my first one in a window. :)

    no!
I love Christmas, I am a certified Christmas nut, people always moan "it's too early" when I start talking Christmas but Tree's should not go up before December.

Mine will go up at least a week after my baby being born to make sure he never feels that Christmas takes over his special day.

Oh dear, I feel like a bit of a 'bah humbug' :o - I don't put mine up until the weekend before Christmas :).

However, I'm due to be moving - just not sure if it will be before, or after, Christmas - so in a bit of a quandry about the tree this year :undecided.

I might even need a new one as this one is 7ft tall and fits inside my bay window. The new place doesn't have a bay and I'm not sure how big the living room will be - it might well extend half-way across the living room floor yet !

One of our neighbours has her tree up already too (strangely she is the least Christmas nut I know and could really do with some Christmas spirit and stop shouting at her children so all the neighbours have to hear) Think its more up so she's centre of attention and can say she was the first:(

Ours won't be up until 21st December or DGDs birthday is the 20th and like chirpy said I promised when she was born (she will be 2this year) that I'd always wait till she'd had her special day and then do Christmas. I might put a few bits and bobs up gradually the week before building up to the tree :) I love to sit mesmerised by the lights :) Can't wait

No, wouldnt dream of putting them up until 1st December. We take them down by New Year as I like to have the house back to normal before my return to work.
