A random one, if you may?
Since we moved and got a bigger garden, my OH, a keen gardener, is looking at growing some herbs and spices.
Any idea where I can purchase them from please?
thank you x

A garden centre. Now is not a good time of year though. You will find some plants but they will be a bit manky. Wait until next spring, and the garden centres will fill up with young plants. Buy them in 3" pots and they cost roughly £1 to £2. Don't bother buying the big pots, they grow fast. And as for mint, buy one plant, then propagate it from root fragments, but do not plant mint in the garden, it spreads. There is quite a wide variation in quality and price so shop around. And the Jekka McVicar book is worth buying.
Regarding spices, there are not that many you can grow outdoors. Chilli is good, but really needs a greenhouse or a window sill.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -

Or somewhere like here.
I've not tried them but they appear to have a fairly comprehensive selection. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
