Can't secure my car with manual key - vauxhall corsa 09 plate

Hi Guys,
Have just parked my car outside the house and in the process of getting things out of it I realised that locking the driver side with the key is not securing the passenger side or boot. I am at a loss as to what to do because I do not have the smart key (with the mechanic) and only the driver side is secured. The passenger door and boot do not have a key slot so I cannot lock them individually. I have just been assuming that I was locking the car securely over the past week whenever I have locked the driver side. Am I missing a trick?

Central locking not working? If you lock the doors from the drivers door inside the car do the other doors lock?
Maybe you need to double lock it?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Just went back out to check and I think you may be right and that the central locking is not working. And I can't figure out how to double lock it (as in the key does not have any give to ensure a double lock)
Thanks for stopping in.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
No idea on your car but on my Mondeo you turn the key to lock
then back it off then lock it again.
You may need the handbook or see if a vauxhall owner pops in. Register to one of the vauxhall forums?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Do you have a central locking button on the dashboard?
Here is the manual for your car:

My daughter used to have an older Corsa (04) and I'm sure that was required too in order to lock all the doors when using the key - or was that to unlock? Can't remember fully unfortunately!:p:o We thought there was a fault until the handbook was consulted.0
