Driver8 why don't you grow up bit, I'm offering my opinion and I don't need someone acting like a little teenager, just because you don't agree with me doesn't make you correct does it ? I gave you my reply I am comfortable with what I share with the shops as others are, it's my choice not yours ! And for your information I don't really watch tv as I have other things to do that revolve around work and family

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I just wish I could find out who gave my info to!

    PPI claims companies.

    Accident claims companies.

    Loft insulation companies.

    Power companies.

    PC virus companies.

    Sky equipment cover companies.

    Mobility equipment companies.

    Consumer marketing companies.

Think that's all the calls for this week!

PS: I do know were they get it from! ;)

I would not classify myself as a conspiracy theorist but when you understand how "marketing" companies work you would understand that data is unbelievably cheap and because it is cheap individual items have very little value. The network of these companies - who are actually little more than data brokers - is vast and our data is routinely shunted across Europe (particularly) and now to the Far East, the Pacific (Did you know about the rakes of call-centres in the Philippines?) and the Indian sub-continent, of course, and then back again with little more than an occasional passing nod to the Data Protection Act.

Store loyalty cards are the holy grail as far as profilers are concerned. The more data you provide the more there is to be corrupted or passed through some obscure profiling algorithm that drops it into a boiler-room or an Indian call-centre operating the Windows techie scam. The uncomfortable truth is that some data that falls into the hands of off-shore criminals was entirely legitimately obtained but having passed through umpteen hands has been lost control of. That is the problem not what the intentions of the companies that originally obtained it were.

That security services routinely capture personal data is undeniable and whilst I find that somewhat unpalatable, as I made clear in my earlier post, what really worries me is the number and type of private companies who have access to it and are sanctioned in doing so by the state.

Thank goodness my surname is not Buttle.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Why, don't you like a reasoned argument driver 8? I am not giving away anything personal to tesco apart from my name, address and what i'm buying in their shops, do you think its personal information that I bought a sandwich or tin of beans there?

You are not giving that information to tesco, you are giving that information to Experian et all. so not only do they know what you spend your money on, they know what money you have, what money you owe, what you spend your remaining income on, what you save. they know where you live, even if you move, and no doubt they hadle information as tyo your online habbits aswell.

They probably can make a best guess on what you spend your money on before you've spent it, or at least have a good crack at influencing you in to spending it in that way.

And as they have that information already, is there any point of hiding the fact that I shop in tesco, or today I spent cash in morrisons instead. Tell me how will experience influence me on what I spend my money on ? I don't receive junk mail, I don't receive spam texts or phone calls as I don't give my real numbers out to anyone. In fact the only junk I get is junk food food occasionally. Personally I don't care what information companies have on me, it makes no difference to me, it's not a big bad conspiracy

For those that say, if you've done nothing wrong you've nothing to hide, you're sleepwalking idiots,?

A principle demonstrated many times in such cases as Charles de Menendez, Ian Tomlinson, David Kelly, Mark Duggan, and a whole list of miscarriages of justice perpetrated by the British justice system over the last 70 years, from Stefan Kisko to Colin Stagg, the latest one being the disgusting affair of the Hillsborough cover up.

Be very afraid, the justice system in this country is rotten and corrupt, and the innocent have much to fear.
