tesco online

I am noticing 2 issues.

1 - is that products randomly dissapear of the site, some products show for a few weeks then gone bam. On the phone they told me my local store is out of stock and which store it was, went there and plenty of stock, manager played dumb when questioned about it.
2 - guide price is often wrong and misleading 9 times since start of june I have not had special offers applied to order and each time tesco say one off event.

I am not sure what price the guide price is supposed to apply, eg. half price offer, the guide price shows full price but its in red indicating its not the normal price when it is the normal price?

The products that dissapear are usually branded products that are cheaper than tesco value.

    They are annoying.

That's one of my bug bears of Tesco.
At least with Ocado, offers and prices are applicable to your delivery day.

You have to examine carefully the offer dates, watch how the trolley price and guide price updates. It can be wrong one moment and corrects itself if you check-out again!
(like if you need more shopping)

One example they had chicken and thighs supposedly at half price £2 (originally £4) but £3 would get added to your trolley so I didn't bother to order.

    I've noticed this.

Items that the store always has in stock are not showing on the web site and offers displayed on the web site are not priced accordingly in the shop.

I had a 'discussion' with the duty manager last week because I had planned my shop to use a £9 off £50 spend voucher (that they still insist on giving me over and over again) and an expensive item that was shown on offer was a stupidly higher price (i.e. more than the pre offer price they [and every other supermarket] usually charge). (Normal price £33, offer price £25 they tried to charge £48 - and there was no SEL).

Obviously they can charge what they like but inducing people to use their store with non-existent offers is annoying. The previous week there was a trivial example when the site said they had various shaving gels on offer but they weren't.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

Azari, yes 4 times in past 6 months tesco have refunded errors when store didnt apply offers, but this last occasion they refused. Also many stuff in stock in store is removed of website. Usually branded food thats cheaper than tesco brand gets removed.

I luv cats, I always check the offer expiry dates. Tesco cunningly do not apply some offers to the guide price (the only ones apply are multi buy discounts) and no offers show at all on email receipts, whenever I asked about this tesco always just say dont worry on the day the offers will be there.

I've also noticed my favourites list has more and more unavailable items. I had to contact them about something else and mentioned to the guy who called me back about so many things being unavailable so we were now having to go to the shop instead which defeats the object of home shopping. He agreed but didn't offer any explanation.
Last week I rang to check when my saver delivery charge runs out (I did the 6 month deal). When I asked when it ran out she asked me when I'd taken it out...if I knew that I could figure out when it ran out! She then said she could try to find out and while she was looking she asked me if it was so I could renew it. I said it was to make sure I went elsewhere when it ran out - she didnt seem impressed!

Swordfish. That's my only criticism of Tesco. At my store they advertise it all the time and so far they've only had it in stock once. All in all I find them excellent. Always arrive within the hour specified and have never made a mistake in 30+ orders. The delivery person is always very polite and cheerful and the food is always fresh.
