Skirting board with room for wire behind

I am just putting new skirting board in my living room. I understand you can buy skirting that has a hollowed out bit behind to run a wire through (in my case a tv arial cable).
Does anybody know where you can buy this skirting?
Runing the cable under the skirting is not an option, and i dont like the idea of tacking it across the top.

Depending on the diameter of the coax used a double sided skirting board can be used.
The one I used had a round edge one one side and a chamferred edge on the other leaving sufficient room for a coax.
There are cable duct products available but these are intended for more than one aerial cable. Try B&Q warehouses or get a recommendation from a local electrician.0 -
If you only need space for a single TV Ariel cable can you not just scrape a channel of plaster from the wall behind the skirting board?
….or if you know anyone with a router you could get them to cut a channel in the back of the skirting board for the cable?0 -
You could always just fit two small timber battens to the wall and fix the skirting board to the battens leaving plenty of room for cables....done this many times......works really well.

I think you may be refering to dado or skirting trunking similar to this maybe?
The cheapest option if it is for 1 maybe 2 cables is to buy the skirting that can be used 2 ways chamfered edge on 1 side and another shape the other. just sit the cable behind that.0 -
The larger B&Q shops have them in white and in wood. They come in 2.4m lengths,I'm off to get some in the next few days.0

I'd just hack the plaster off the wall where the wires have to go. Either that or use a router on normal skirting board.Happy chappy0

any reason why you cant run under specifically?
skirting with the chanel you describe is not cheap so as previous posters say, the most convenient way would be either make a channel or you could router a channel on skirting you buy or again as said, buy the multi edge skirting, which is ogee on one edge, torus on another and the cable may fit ok?0
