We just got back from Disney World Florida on Friday our second time. Never really fancied the Paris one, heard it's very expensive compared to the other one, and this is what bothers me more than anything, but I just priced it up and it would be £396 for a 3 night stay and I think that includes the Eurostar if I did it right, this is a very tempting offer. Don't know what to do! Would this be a huge let down or not? I'm not knocking it because I've never been, I just don't want to waste money on something we may not enjoy or may spend the whole time comparing it to the one in Orlando?

what dates are you looking at? I could have a look on the Eurostar site, see if I'm seeing what you're seeing.

honestly? If you think you would spend the time comparing it to Orlando, don't go to DLP. Its not American Disney, its European Disney, and its in January-March, so it will have Northern European weather too.

Don't get me wrong - DLP is my Happy Place, but I don't go to WDW.
  • Hi, don't know if it helps anyone but we did the free disney tickets from sky a few weeks ago. Run by consort travel so the same company. I did it all quite cheaply, tickets from sky deal, drove over to France and used tesco vouchers x 2 for the euro tunnel. I researched it to death before going.
Yes you need 25euro each way for tolls. We stayed at a serviced apartment outside disney to keep the cost down. Was ideal, 6euro for 4 of us and 5 mins on the RER Train straight into the parks and a bakery nearby for coffee/hot choc/croissants etc for breakfast for very little. Alternatively a huge supermarket.
No picnic rule In the parks but that's really cool boxes and picnic rugs. We took drinks,Sandwiches,Cakes and little snacks so we only had to pay for 1 meal a day, they checked bags on way in and saw this in our bag and let us in without a word.
If you get the chance to do it on the cheap then take it we had a fantastic time.
  • Just booked for 18 and 19 Feb

Now booking train tickets via RailEurope for 2 x Adults 1 x Child (6 years old) 1x Infant (3 years old) for £203 return via Eurostar with 1 change over in Lille. (anyone used RailEurope b4)? Has 3% quidco too.

Now need to decide on which hotel,,, Magic Circus, Dream Castle or Kyriad Disney? any recommendations?

    cheers

    Hi can someone clarify

I am trying to book via website for park entry 18/2 but it says on confirmation page

    Disney - Sdrive-3 Night-Depart 18 Feb-Parks 19 Feb
    Estimated Price

    £37.50
    Departure Date:

    18/02/2013

    Duration:

    0 nights

    Passengers:

    4

does this mean park entry is for the 19/2??

    Please advise.

Hi this was an error on their system which is fixed now. If you try again to book it should say the day in the park is the same as the day of travel.

  • I've just been informed by a very unhelpful member of Consort Travel's Facebook team that The Sun in Northern Ireland does not have the tokens included but I'm more than welcome to'get in touch with friends who will have access to the paper' not that it mentions this anywhere in the T&Cs of the promotion. The tickets alone are worth £200 so I was just going to fly over.
  • Hi mysuni
The one we used was Residhome val d'europe. If you google it you'll see their own website plus the trip advisor. We booked through travel republic but quite a few sites have it and the price varies. We paid £180 for 2 nights for a room that slept 5. Small, Clean, basic, ideal location, with 2 tvs, wireless, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, shower and bath.
We left at 9am for disney and didn't return until 11pm. Next day we were up and straight out into Paris so yeah it was basic but we were hardly there other than to wash and sleep. Around a minutes walk to the station to go either one stop to disney or 45 mins to the centre if Paris.
