Need birth certificate for my father who died?

Hello,
My fathe rpassed away in June and i need a copy of his birth certificate, i have the death certificate but i am not sure how to go about it.
We are also in Scotland.

If you know where he was born, the local council registrar should be able to help you or a trip/call to Register House in Edinburgh certainly can.
Both will charge for the certificate though.0 -
Easiest way is to do it online through GROS website
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/help/index.aspx?r=554&402
Some you can view online but these are the older ones so you would have to order it.0
