    Hi everyone,

How are all the December 2013 weddings coming along?

We're all sorted now except suit hire, we did go but were told it was too soon.

I've got hair & makeup trials booked but not until the end November - this was the soonest they could do! This worries me (I am a planner, I like it all to be sorted)....... is it too close to the wedding??

How are all my fellow December brides getting on with their planning!? We now have church, venue, photographer, dress, suits and honeymoon. DJ is in the process of being picked, as are invitations. Trying to find makeup/hair etc as want to get things booked as soon as possible with it being so near to Christmas, don't want people to get booked up!

    Hi Rachie,

I know you posted a while ago but I've only just seen your comment!

I've had a nightmare trying to book hair & makeup trials for our December wedding - the day itself is a Tuesday so the people I want are free then, but trying to book the trials has been Hell

I started looking in June, found the people I want with suitable prices etc and called them in July - and my trials are not until November, as they are so booked up!

I know it's a good sign they are busy, but if I'm not happy and want someone else there's no time!

How did you get on booking everything?

  • Oh bless that does sound stressful. My trial was recommended for October/November so i'm having it on 7th October, our wedding is 7th December. How about you? I guess it doesn't matter how close it is to the wedding, as long as you have time to change your mind and try a new style if needs be! So far so good with booking everything, everything is booked that needs to be, photographer, venue, church, DJ, suits etc! Just the fiddly bits that need doing now, favours, table names, place names, table plan etc etc! How about you, how are the plans coming along? What date is your wedding?

  • Hi Rachie

Wedding is 2nd December. Biggest problem now is chasing those who are yet to reply!

Then yes, it's onto table plans etc. We are pretty much there, I think!

    Getting so excited now.....!

  • Hi ladies!

Long time no post for me! The summer has flown by and now I am into final preparations mode with it being the middle of September and all that!

Reprinted invites turned up yesterday and will be sending those next week.

Hair and make up trials I am having on October 5th - both of the ladies doing it I know well so I wasnt worried about it being too soon / too late as its just a formality for me really.

Managed to blag my centrepieces for free from my venue as they will be using them for their Christmas programme anyway and they were exactly what I wanted.

Unfort, the events co-ordinator has just changed at my venue so hoping the new lady will honour it (I have an email as proof of course!)

I am into the make it yourself things now. Jars for the table, favour boxes, name places, table plan, order of service etc.

December will be here before we know it :S

Hope you are all progressing well! Look forward to an update!

    Cat x
  • Hi you December ladies - as its the 1st on Sunday I thought I would message and see how you were all doing...

I have had a few very busy weeks sorting bits out but I am getting on top of it. We had our Banns read for the first time on Sunday which was lovely and I am actually looking forward to attending the next two (especially as they will be advent services too!)

Cant believe December is nearly here...

Cant wait to see some of your pictures and hear stories of your days :)

I;m getting married on 7th December, 3rd time lucky!! Going to pick up my dress tonight that's been taken up, and then just got to get the wedding cake next week - three tier fruit from my friend and some sponge bar cakes from m and s. Then all sorted!

Hi everyone. We also get married on the 7th!this week will mostly be spent getting things ready to take to the venue, picking the cake up, collecting everything together and no doubt panicking about little bits and bobs! We have agreed not to get each other a present for the day, I did however want to get Dan a little something as a 'love you' for the morning, but due to our pact I may stick with a card. Although he usually doesn't stick to these kinda pacts! Any of you guys bought your OH a present for the morning?
