Donating old pots of paint

Hi there,
I don't know if this is appropriate but if not please would the moderators remove.
I was dumping some rubbish yesterday at my local rubbish dump (Richmond) and noticed they have an area where you can leave part finished tins of paint, varnish etc. The dump then donates this to charities and things like schools, clubs and societies who can make use of it.
A good way to help the environment and help out local charities etc.
If you are a shop and have spare small tester size pots there were plenty of those donated too (full, rather than used) so it seems there is a call for thes too.
Regards,
