Hi all,
What on earth has this got to do with this forum?"Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0 -
Apparently police are running a full scan for him but you know how long these things can take. They've checked 147,823 houses so far and 13 threats have been detected. If they find him he will probably be quarantined.0

McAfee, so probably a "False Positive".0

The latest reports would suggest that police are interested in speaking to someone called 'Administrator'. It's not clear whether this person is believed to be an innocent bystander that may have witnessed the event or whether this person actually facilitated the crime by allowing McAfee privileges.0 -
He's an odd chap. Seems to be completely cuckoo from the profiles currently circulating in the media - linked to all sorts of stuff from meth labs to illegal firearms. Why anybody would trust an antivirus product from the company he founded is beyond me. McAfee and Norton are worse than most viruses, the way they take over your computer and slow it down with bloatware.poppy100

A PC complained that the investigation was going very slowly.0

I'm sure this wasn't an intentional murder. McAfee just made a simple mistake and falsely identified the perfectly healthy victim as an infected zombie that could not safely be cleaned or quarantined.0

A little unfair, he hasn't had anything to do with the company since 1992. You really ought to judge the product on it's own merits.
Fortunately, the conclusion is the same either way.0
