Halifax Payment Delayed actions

Just Transferred £1k from Lloyds to Halifax reward account with no problem. Set up payment from Halifax to Lloyds and completed the telephone authorisation thing, went to transfer to £1k back to Lloyds and got 'Delayed actions'.

It seems the payment is on hold until they check !, I hope this is not going to happen every month when I transfer to back and forth, after all it is within the same banking group.

Will now have to wait until they approve it, which they say they 'Aim' to do within 24hrs.

I would expect it to be a first time check and that subsequent transfers will go through OK.

It happens now and again, nothing to worry about.
  • the telephone authorisation call is just for the first time you set up a new recipient. you will not need to go through that every time and if you phone halifax (08457 203040 open 24/7) they can do the security there and then to allow payment to go through.
