any high stores got any good prices on a top spec laptop?

hi folks,anyone know of any good deals on any decent laptops that the likes of pc world,currys etc are selling? its for my other half and will be used a lot for work purposes so his percific requirements are that it has to be one of the fastest with plenty of memory???
Apologies technology is above my head i'm just the bargain hunter he knows a bit more about this,but just wondered if any of you guys have seen any deals or anywhere selling one we could get pricematched so we aren't traipsing round shops for hours.
Expecting to get the best we can with the max spend of £800ish - obviously if a cheap deals there and its decent then all the better!!

what does he do for work as with that budget you will get a lot of choice, however depending on what he actually needs to do could change the spec considerablyDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save

What program is he usually run?
What size is he after? Does he want best spec or best brand or most portable?
If you want top spec, you can try place like cyberpowersystem, pcspecialist, which they do customize laptop.
If you want top quality, you can try Levono thinkpad.
For the most portable, ultrabook is what you need to look for.0 -
Ooooh, you've now entered the alternate universe called 'laptop buying'.
£800 is a lovely amount but what 'we' (well not me but the technically minded on MSE) need to know is WHAT WILL HE DO ON IT? Will he want to play games? What type of games? Edit video? Listen to music? Burn CDs/DVDs? Wordprocess? Use Excel etc? It's not just having the £££££ but it's knowing what he would use the laptop for.

Which why I never posted Dell where there are lots of reduced laptops because they have windows 7 on them although you can upgrade to 8 for £14-95.0
