Any decent Windows 8 machines in the tablet space?
I looked at what they had in Currys and it was a bunch of cheap and nasty looking laptops some of which had a slightly confusing mix of touchscreen and keyboard, but nothing really compelling when just next to it is the ipad, which makes its own statement very clearly.
I know there is the Microsoft Surface RT, which looks reasonable, but it's £400++ for a tablet with still limited apps, no legacy X86 app support, and fairly basic hardware.
Vaio Duo 11 looks stupid fragile for the price.
Best wait for the Pro in the New Year?

I have the Vaio Duo 11 and it doesn't feel at all fragile, the mechanism is a bit odd but the machine feels well built. I think it offers a good mix of ultrabook and tablet as well as keeping some practicality, unlike most tablets/ultrabooks it has a VGA, HDMI and LAN port without needing any adapters. I didn't like the idea of no palm rest and the screen only sliding half way up the base but it makes it easier to switch between touch and keyboard input.

I've had a couple of Vaios and I always break them. I can't see this one being any better...0
