Stopped Card

I think Lloyds have been getting in a mucking fuddle. About ten days ago I rang to stop my card because I thought it might have been compromised. They sent a new one, but when I tried to use it I got a message that the number wasn't valid. This morning another card arrived with the old number on it, looks like they put the stop on the new card instead of the old one. :doh:

How long before the Police turn up wanting to know why I've been trying to make fraudulent purchases on a stopped card.....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Sounds like card was in renewall. Not something that can be stopped. But cant see how they would stop the new card, without stopping the old one 1st..

I would give them a call and see what they say. Could be the new card needs activiation.

As a aside what made you think the old card was compromised?

The old card was within a few days of routine renewal, so when they issued the replacement on a new number, the computer then issued another on the old number which seems to have caused the stop on the new one.
Anyhow, they're going to send yet another on another new number so that the computer knows that all the preceding cards are stopped.
I stopped it because I think there may be a virus on the computer.......
