Financial Association

in Credit cards
I just realised that after setting up a current account with my wife, I have her listed as a financial association in my credit file. While I have a good credit file, with most things in order, she has a very limited history of credit. I was looking to take out a personal loan sometime early next year. Would this association now negatively impact my credit file in the eyes of lenders? Cheers in advance.

perhaps your wife could start to build some credit history?0

If she has negative markers on her credit file it could but if it's simply a case of lack of credit history it shouldn't. It might be good for her to get a credit card in her own name to build up her history.0

Hi guys, thanks for that. Thats reassuring, will work on her building her own credit file. Cheers.0
