  • WOW! It's been ages since there has been anything worth posting... but I have found an Amex deal where if you write a TripAdvisor review, you get a £5 credit.

I know it's not what we're used to, but still...

  • Nice little earner. I write so many reviews it's good to be rewarded. :)

You still need to have used amex at that location, which in my case was not possible. They did not take it.

This wasn't the case a couple of weeks ago?

I posted a review for a restaurant on my trip to India earlier this month and got a £5 credit earlier this week. There was no condition of having used an AMEX at that location.

Mihaid read the T&Cs and you will find you are incorrect!

You do NOT need to use your AMEX card at the location you are writing a review about. You could for example write a review about Londons Hyde Park, and still get a £5 credit as long as you have followed the instructions.

  • I triple, thrice, quadruple that fact. You do not need to have used your AMEX to be considered for the £5 credit.

  • I have received the £5 credit to my account after submitting a tripadvisor report last week and DID NOT use my AMEX whilst i was there...

Got an email to say my review has been confirmed and a five pound credit will be put on my card.

I also syncd my other 2 supplementary cards and written a review hopefully they will also get approved and I will get a total of £15 credit on my next statement.

Same, in fact the hotel I reviewed didn't even take Amex (and I definitely wouldn't use my Amex abroad, paying the forex fee, unless I had to)!
