Frozen whole baby onions - where to find?

I once saw a cookery programme where the chef Silvano Franco used a jar of rinsed pickled onions in a pie.
I think they are called pearl onions.
If you really want the small onions, what about using the spring onions with the bigger bottoms, that way you wont need to peel them. Just chop the tops off. The ones I bought from Aldi recently were like that.
That recipe is American? Its a lot like a chicken cobbler. This recipe uses leeks

I've seen pickled ones used too. Apparently the vinegar smell/taste cooks off.
Been tempted to try it myself but not got around to it yet.
(damn..... had cheese and biscuits for supper... really fancied pickled onions and we have run out... now my mouth is watering badly for them!)0 -
I have managed to buy 1kg frozen unpickled silverskin onions from the Ingredients for Cooks
