I'm on the hunt for frozen baby onions - little button ones for a recipe I'm making. I've definitely seen them in the past however sods law, now that I need them they are nowhere to be seen.
I've tried Mr A and Mr T - the others aren't terribly close to me however if I know someone else stocks them I can make a trip.
Has anyone seen them recently?
Thanks

exactly like those zepsgal. I called Brake Bros however they won't supply to the general public.
I know 13lb is a lot however I have a lot of recipes where I could use them and also a friend who is looking for some so I would have bought them.
Ah well, the search continues. Thanks all.0 -
Daft question... but ... can't you just buy a bunch and freeze them yourself?0

If you know of anyone who has a business, they can order a bag through business. I have used them and to be honest they are poop. Onions were almost flavourless and a bit soggy to be honest. What recipe are you doing?Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

In the past I've bought a bag of pickling onions as they are tiny and peeled them. The reason I wanted the frozen ones is that I cannot peel onions without streaming eyes and running nose. Tried every suggested trick to no avail.
The recipe I wanted them for this time was Barefoot Contessa one - here. I'll just have to bite the bullet and peel the little pickling onions - looking forward to it already:D0 -
A possibly daft suggestion - when my mum used to make Coq au Vin years ago, she just used small pickled onions (the milder cocktail ones) and they tasted great. It may work out a bit expensive if you're doing a major cooking session though.Life is mainly froth and bubble

Put them in a bowl and cover with boiling water for a couple of minutes (like you'd do with tomatoes to skin them). You can then peel them without your eyes watering.
