Paying off credit cards/credit score improves?

A lot of people do forget that it's down to the issuing company and not Experian/Call Credit/Equifax.

They are not interested in what happened 3/4 years ago, but how you are managing now.

In terms of credit score? It is still very low. However it depends which company you look on. I have just cancelled checkmyfile, and that was in the 600s which worked out at 2 stars, but on noddle it is 1/5. I can't work it out. But every company has a 'wish list', so you could have a fantastic score and not meet their criteria and vice versa.

Yeah I thought that, and I've been managing my existing cards very well for 3 or 4 years now. Applied for 4 more cards (got them all). However, I've now got loads of searches on my score, so if I apply for anything else, it gets declined!

Even though I've got one CCJ left, I bet if I had no credit searches on my report, I'd get accepted for even more.
