Samsung Galaxy S3 problem ???

Just setting up my replacement s3 and now got a line of letters & numbers accross top of screen eg. dx:5.0 prs:1.0 etc etc ?? no idea where they came from & also when i put my finger on screen it sort of draws a coloured line !!!
Help please..... what have i done !! :eek:

I've got the S2 but have you tried the old favourite of turning it off then back on? Failing that you could try phoning Samsung Tech Support.

There are dedicated forums like Samsunggalaxyforums.com which is very good.

Howdy! Don't worry it is an easy fix. Your phone has had the developer mode turned on. It's gimmicky and is designed to allow apps developers to debug and test their software. I'll help you disable it.

Assuming you are on ICS do the following...

1. From your home screen press your menu button (its the bottom left one) and then choose 'settings'
2. Scroll down to almost the bottom and select 'Developer Options'
3. Tap on any of the items that have the 'tick' highlighted.
4. Exit to your home screen and you are done. A restart may or may not be needed.

Thanks from me too. I'll remember that in case I get a similar problem when I get my S3 in the near future.
