I have heard good and bad things.
Good it give you interest free loan to go towards your house deposit, bad things, my friend applied only having 4 years left to serve and has to pay back more than she bargained for as she was hoping to be signed on/promoted by now.
Has anyone else applied for this and if so was it worth it?
I will be looking to get a house next year so weighing up all my options now. Have savings to (around 6500 now will be more by time I want to buy)
Have also been looking at AFHOS. Anyone had experience of this too?
Many thanks

The scheme is known as "LSAP", which is deducted from your pay based upon the time you have left in the military. I would probably guess that you are RAF by the phrase "signing on".
More information can be found in the link below, or the JSP 752.
