Is this a scam?

I have been looking for work for nearly a year in the finance industry and apply for at least 5 jobs a day through various job web sites. I applied for one, can't remember which site, could be jobsite.co.uk, and had this email back.
Open vacancy:
Account Manager - United Kingdom - £22,300 (Full-Time); £16,500 (Part-Time)

Fields Finance Corporation provide - good basic salary; study in UK with a trainer; computer tests; practice.
All on-line courses absolutely free!
The ideal candidate - age 18+; able to work independently; good communication skills; immediate start available.
If you would like to find out more about this opportunity please email back and We will send you an email with information.

HR Manager
Laura H. Hoeft
Fields Finance Corporation

I returned an email, got an application form. (didn't give bank details as requested. and explained why I wouldn't, then recieved another email telling me about training and how I would be transfering money to other trainee's accounts.
Something doesn't seem right to me. In the search for jobs I have come across a few 'pyramid selling' emails promising big payouts and ignored them as they stated they saw my cv on a job agency site. As I have registered with many such sites in my search for employment it is hard to know what is genuine. I have the word documents sent to me by Fields Finance Corporation if anyone wants to check them out, I can forward them.
I wondered if anyone else knows of this company or is it normal for a company to basically give you a job without seeing in person the applicant etc. I will supposedly be getting a call from a training manager tomorrow to start training, which is all done at distance. I looked up the company web site (not allowed to post) but can't get much from their site, Its in the USA and for all I know could be bogus as a search in google showed nothing.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a copy of the email I sent requesting infomation about the vacancy. The respose I got was an application form. I filled it in, minus any bank details, and sent it back. Then I had an email with the 'Training details' I would post the documents but they are at least 3 x A4 pages. I can forward them to anyone by email if helps to read them.

I asked for further infomation and got an application form.
Really not sure if it's a scam or not, its offering money (£15 per hour) for training. This seems unrealistic.
The reply I got was that someone will call me tomorrow to start training. As I too can't find much about the company I'm cautious.
I suppose I'll wait and see if I get a call

There is NO real job paying that much who will just call someone with no interview, no references and then bobs your uncle you have the job or start training. Think about it.

Whats the companies website address and actual address?

Is there any other company name or number on any of the information you've received? Only there doesn't seem to be a Fields finance corporation registered with companies house.
it does sound very dodgy - at a rough guess you'll be asked to transfer your own money to another "trainees" account, at which point you won't hear from them again. This does vaguely ring a bell with an article about an ebay scam I read in the newspaper a while back which involved people using their own money.
I'd tread very carefully if I were you.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Yeah that's what I figured. The company web address on the application form is: fieldscorporation
its a dot com company so if you type http// fieldscorporation .com (with no spaces, sorry I cant post a link) you'll see it. it also stated this on the from they sent:
Fields Finance Corporation office 33 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038, USA. Company is registered in USA with company registration number 653892591.
  • Seriously if they have no address here why are you asking if its a scam? What do you think?

Ah just looked at the link and I have seen this site before

    DO NOT TAKE THE CALL!!!

Will attmept to find the thread on here

I just searched The US companies registration dept, It doesn't exist. so I rekon it is a scam.
So frustrating that these people now prey on people looking for work. I wish job sites would Admin the postings.
