Can these be used @ the same time as a sat receiver - are you just relient upon having enough scart sockets?
Bought a cheapie receiver from Lidle and it gives us extra 10/20 channels depending on what our taste is that night !!0 -
You may want to wait until Freeview Playback is launched before buying a Freeview box with a hard disc, the new functionality will make it as good as Sky+, but free.

The Digilogic DSTB1000 at Tesco is not a very wise buy - poor backup and support.
The Humax PVR 9200T is a superb piece of equipment as is its Freeview set top box stablemate, the FOX F2-T; it's been going for nearly four years now and is still ahead of the majority of rivals.
If you buy cheap, you get what you deserve with Freeview STBs..:-)0 -

I used to have a Nokia ONDigital Freeview box. Very good looking, didn't work too well and the remote control was a triumph of style over function.
I'm been very happy with my very classy Pioneer DTR2100 (an ITVDigital box) for the last four or five years - silver and black hi-fi styling, excellent display and sound and easy to use.0 -

This looks excellent value. I didn't even know Nokia still made Freeview boxes! 'Had a look at the manual on-line and do love the idea of the 'navi-bars'!
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
Never mind Freeview boxes, it is now possible to get a Freeview 19" widescreen TV for sub £150
With monitors now sub £100, but without AV connections like SCART etc, you can get a sub £50 Freeview box with Monitor VGA outputs.
Cheers

2 people have posted a comment now telling people they should wait for Freeview Playback and noone seems to be paying the blindest bit of attention.
I doubt they'll be that cheap to be honest - but normal freeview record boxes will go down I bet. So wait!0
