Does anyone have a Luyisi Shower Cabinet?

Help!

I inherited a Luyisi shower/steam cabinet when I recently bought my house. Thing is, the previous owners didn't leave the instruction manual and while I can work the shower/steam functions, I can't figure out how to get the sanitisation program to run.

Can anyone help me figure it out please?? :D

Not sure if mine is the same model but on the one I have its the O3 button, I press it once and it runs the sterilize function without having to do anything else. Nothing else works while this function operates and it takes about 20 mins.

Any idea how to change the bulb in the overhead light/shower compartment? My bulbs gone and I'm reluctant to force it open, its not acessable from above.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Hi Dave, this is my control panel. I see I have an O3 button too. Do I just turn it on (red button), press O3 and leave it? Do I shut the door? add anything to it? How often do you do this? And does it stop the mildew growing on everything??

Sorry - don't know about the lights - so I'd be interested in knowing that too!!

I have the same panel, you simply press the red button to power on the unit, press the O3 button and close the doors and it runs a cycle. You don't need to add anything or do anything else. After 20 mins the cycle finishes and the fans briefly activate to expel the ozone, then the fans go off.

Does it actually clean the shower? I'm afraid not. When you run the cycle the shower looks no cleaner, I spoke to an expert in the industry a couple of years ago about this, he says this feature is there to reduce the risk of Legionella which occurs when you have pipework filled with standing water, after 14 days unless this pipework is run through (i.e, you use all the jets, jacuzzi, and different shower elements) the risk of the legionella bacteria being present in this standing water increases, so the O3 ozone function could provide a sterilizing function to mitigate it. I say could because he reckons that its best to run everything through every couple of weeks to be on the safe side.

Like you i inherited this unit, I have the instructions in pdf, its in Chinglish and reads more like an installation document, but you are welcome to it, PM me your email and I'll send it.

If you figure out how to access the bulb compartment email me, the instructions don't make mention of it and I'm showering in the dark!

  • Finally figured out how to change the bulb, firstly turn off the power, then locate and remove the flexible hose water connection pipe that leads into the centre overhead shower section situated on the roof of the shower. Where the flexible hose was attached there is a thin nut, this nut holds the internal shower and bulb section, carefully loosen the nut and the internal shower and bulb section will drop, note that this will fall off when the nut is removed, so best position someone below to catch it! fitting is the same in reverse. Took me an age to figure this out!!
