Thanks for all the helpful replies !!!
Will ignore all of there letters now and hopefully all will go away, just glad I took time to google and find this forum as I was nearly going to pay up !!
To add insult to injury looking at the pictures of my car and the number plate pictures. The picture of me arriving and leaving are blatantly the same number plate capture !!! they are exactly the same....
Thanks again to all who have took the time to reassure me and help me make my mind up....No brainer really:beer:0 -
Pity they never go to court it would be nice to see them spanked again.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I too have fallen for this scam. I got captured on camera entering and leaving the services at Tamworth - over 2 hours. I foolishly tried to pay the £50 but for some reason the payment system didnt process so I got the next letter for £90 - I have emailed them to say that I tried to pay but it rejected can they check, also said that I was the driver!
Where do I stand now? Should I ignore or will they take a different tact now that they know I was the driver? I have not had a response to the email as yet.
Any advice would be most welcome.0 -

I got caught by CP Plus just short of two years ago.
I went down the route of ignoring them. Three letters later and I never heard anything more from them.
To be honest, I was hoping for a little more backbone from them. No debt collectors, no court and no bailiffs.
But I should not be surprised ..... Because I have yet to hear of CP Plus taking anyone to court.
Ignore or appeal ..... Either way, don't worry. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]

The thing about the advice from CAB is the source of this information. It comes from the BPA who is the trade association of the parking companies, not only that the bpa are fully funded from the parking companies, and if that wasn't enough the owners of parking companies are directors of the BPA.
So guess what they advise, to appeal these fake tickets when they know damn well that 99% of them are turned down! Then we come to popla the so called independent appeals, which unbelievably is owned by the bpa, and they actually pay to run this so called independent appeals service.
There is a very good reason why members of mse, pepipoo, cag, piston heads and many other forums say to ignore these fake tickets, it's because it works, we who advise are truly independent and have nothing to gain from giving skewed advice.
Please read more , watch the BBC watchdog videos on here, just do a search for all the videos in this forum or watch the main one in the sticky threads, they I think offer the correct advice from qualified experts in the area motoring. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

ANPR evidence that is not produced by an instrument approved by the secretery of state is not admissable in any court.
However it is up to you to object it not as admissible.
The court must then clarify the rules regarding admissible apparatus for producing evidence.
Any county court refusing this should be appealed.Be happy...;)0
